Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Klavierkonzert Nr. 22 Es-dur KV 482 - Besetzung: Orchester

Composed at the end of 1785, Mozart's Piano Concerto in E-flat major forms a group of three with the two famous concerti in A major K. 488 and in C minor K. 491, which he completed in March of the following year. What they all have in common is Mozart's inclusion of clarinets in the orchestra for the first time. In this he succeeded to particularly impressive effect with the lyrical passages in the slow sections of the E-flat-major concerto, which was well received by the audience at the first performance. Indeed, his father, Leopold, reports in a letter that Mozart "had to repeat" the Andante immediately. G. Henle Publishers is issuing this concerto, undeservedly overshadowed by its famous siblings, in a handy study edition in full score; a piano reduction is in preparation.

Le Concerto pour piano en Mi bémol majeur composé en fin d'année 1785 forme une triade avec les deux célèbres concertos en La majeur K. 488 et en ut mineur K. 491, qu'il termina en mars de l'année suivante. Ils ont tous trois en commun l'introduction pour la première fois par Mozart des clarinettes dans l'orchestre. Il réussit ceci tout particulièrement dans les passages lyriques des sections plus lentes de ce Concerto en Mi bémol majeur, qui furent grandement appréciées par le public de la première audition. En effet, son père Leopold signale dans une correspondance que Mozart «dut répéter» l'Andante immédiatement. Les Éditions G. Henle publient ce concerto injustement resté dans l'ombre de ses frères plus célèbres dans une édition maniable pour ce qui est de la partition d'orchestre, une réduction pour piano étant par ailleurs en cours de préparation.

Mozarts Ende 1785 entstandenes Klavierkonzert in Es-dur bildet eine Trias mit den beiden berühmten Konzerten in A-dur KV 488 und in c-moll KV 491, die er im März des Folgejahres vollendete. Ihnen allen ist gemeinsam, dass Mozart erstmalig auch Klarinetten im Orchester einsetzt. Besonders eindrucksvoll gelang ihm dies mit lyrischen Passagen in den langsamen Abschnitten des Es-dur-Konzerts, was beim Publikum der ersten Aufführung gut ankam. Denn Vater Leopold berichtet brieflich, dass Mozart das Andante sogleich "repetieren musste". Der G. Henle Verlag veröffentlicht dieses zu Unrecht im Schatten seiner berühmten Geschwister stehende Konzert in handlicher Studien-Edition als Partitur, ein Klavierauszug ist in Vorbereitung.
