The inspiration for this book was born out of necessity: I wanted to own this book. I was minding my own beeswax designing a granny square vest when I found myself needing a new shape, a non-square shape, to create the perfect fit. I began looking for a reference book outlining all the different shapes you can make using the granny square stitch. The book's concept seemed so obvious to me, I was sure it had to exist. As it turns out, it didn't. So, I wrote it.The granny square pattern is popular for many reasons: it's quick, simple, easy to memorize and easy to customize. I tried my best to carry these qualities forward when re-shaping this stitch into circles, stars, triangles and beyond. What's more, you'll find instructions to re-size most of these shapes so you can crochet teeny-tiny ornaments or epic afghans!Don't know where to start? How to end?
